This week – Oct. 29 through Nov. 1, 2007 - approximately 500 teachers, school administrators and education policymakers from more than 50 countries are in Helsinki, Finland, for two global events: the third annual worldwide Innovative Teachers Forum and the School of the Future World Summit. Both events focus on education and the role technology can play in addressing classroom challenges, enhancing teaching practices, and inspiring teachers everywhere to seek and apply innovative approaches that help prepare students for today’s changing world.

The School of the Future World Summit (Oct. 30–Nov. 1) provides a platform for more than 350 education leaders and policymakers from around the world to discuss key issues, share ideas and approaches to K–12 education, and learn from recognized practitioners.
